ROHM develops ADAS sensor and radar applications with increasing performance
09/21/2022    hits:729

ROHM has developed the LDO regulator 1IC "BUxxJA3DG-C series (BU12JA3DG-C, BU15JA3DG-C, BU18JA3DG-C, BU25JA3DG) for small in-vehicle applications such as sensors and radars in automotive ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with increasing performance. -C, BU30JA3DG-C, BU33JA3DG-C)".

In recent years, in the automotive field, with the innovation of accident prevention and autonomous driving technology, the requirements for safety performance are increasing. At the same time, the increasing performance of sensors and radars in automotive ADAS (increasing current for increased processing power and lowering voltage for power saving) requires the power ICs that power them to be smaller in size and capable of support larger currents.

ROHM provides energy-saving and miniaturized solutions for a wide range of in-vehicle applications such as ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and ADAS in the automotive field, utilizing its extensive lineup of DC-DC converter ICs and LDO regulators. In order to meet the power supply requirements of ADAS sensors, etc., whose performance is improving day by day, ROHM has developed a series of small LDO voltage regulators with low output noise that excel in output current.

The new product is an LDO regulator developed for the secondary side*2 power supply application in the automotive field, which meets the basic requirements of application products for small size and standard output voltage expansion. In addition, despite its very small size (2.9mm x 2.8mm), it supports output currents up to 300mA, while also covering the input voltage range as low as 1.7V, which is rare in the same LDO series, so The product is also suitable for 1.8V power system. Not only that, among the LDO regulators with lower output noise, the noise is only 55µVrms, which is about 40% lower than that of ordinary products (compared to products with an output voltage of 3.3V), which can be used for applications that require a cleaner power supply. It contributes to the miniaturization and performance improvement of ADAS sensors and radars.
