SC26C92C1A,518 developed by NXP USA Inc. is a type of dual universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (DUART). It is able to replace the SCC2692 and SCN2681 in pin and function due to its added features and deeper FIFOs. This single-chip CMOS-LSI communications device is capable of providing two full-duplex asynchronous receiver/transmitter channels in a single package, whose operating mode and data format can be programmed independently.
